This language has some pretty complex grammatical structures. It really helps if you understand the grammatical structures of a student's strongest language as it explains how/why certain elements are such a challenge.
English grammar has far fewer tenses (only 13) and does possession in a very different manner.
German and grammar put the past participle at the end of the sentence. German has 3 genders and clearly distinguishes between direct and indirect objects.
Chinese has no real verb tenses or conjugation and does not distinguish between subject and object pronouns.
